Important Information/Reminders

Family Presentations & Prayer (AM Opening)

NOTE: Family presentations may include songs, poems, demonstrations, visuals, skits and audience participation as long as they are under 5 min. Use your imaginations and your talents. Ideally, each Foundations student in your family should be included in some way. We will not have time to pass pictures/items around, but you can display them during lunch if you like.

Snack Schedule: Please bring at least 2) 24-count, pre-packaged, peanut-free snacks to share with our community as noted below:
  • First Semester: Names on the contact list: BARTLING through MC WILLIAMS
(Please bring 1st Semester snacks on 8/27/10)
  • Second Semester: Names on the contact list: MISAWA through THUNE
(Please bring 2nd Semester snacks on 1/7/11)

Lunch: Remember to pack a lunch for your family!

AM Childcare: Please mark child's belongings with their name. The fee for childcare is $5 per child/day. Please have the correct change or make a check payable to Holly Freed (designate on the memo of your check "childcare".

Pizza Lunches: We will have 4 pizza lunches throughout the year on the dates listed below. Rhonda Guge is the pizza coordinator and will be taking your orders/payment. jHer contact information is rguge@cox.net and her phone is 333-7811. Please have correct change the day of pizza lunch or make checks payable to Holly Freed. The pizza will be delivered from Godfather's. This year you will have the option to order a whole pizza for $10 or pizza by the slice for $1.50 -- your choice of hamburger, cheese or pepperoni. Please see Rhonda if you would like to pay for pizza in advance.

PARENTS: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES DURING FOUNDATIONS/ESSENTIALS. IF YOU NEED TO LEAVE THE BUILDING FOR ANY REASON, PLEASE LET YOUR DIRECTOR KNOW. OTHERWISE YOU ARE TO BE IN CLASS WITH YOUR CHILD SHOWING SUPPORT TO THEM AS WELL AS TO THE TUTORS PROMPTLY AFTER THE OPENING ASSEMBLY CONCLUDES.

We are only together for a few hours each week, so be attentive and interact with your children during class. Please refrain from texting and using laptops during class time. The tutors will need your help from time to time during the morning. If you have multiple children in the program, please plan ahead and let them know whose classroom you will be in that week. It is not permissible to go in and out of classrooms to hear each child's presentation. Thank you for your cooperation!

ATTENTION: The Challenge A class will be in session from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the upstairs "EpiCenter" at Emmanuel Fellowship. No Foundations/Essentials students are allowed upstairs for any reason. Feel free to use the pop machine between 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. only.

I will have my cell phone with me throughout the day if you need to locate me in the building. The number is 214-6569.

2010-2011 CC (Northwest) Program Schedule

Essentials Families arrive by 6:30 p.m.
Foundations Families arrive by 7:30 p.m.

First Semester- 12 Weeks
Foundations - Fridays, 9:00 a.m. - Noon
Essentials - Fridays, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
August 27th - November 19th

We will break for a week during the first semester, so there will be NO CLASS on Friday, October 8, 2010.

Second Semester - 12 Weeks

Foundations - Fridays, 9:00 a.m. - Noon
Essentials - Fridays, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
January 7th - April 1st

We will break for a week during the second semester, so there will be NO CLASS on Friday, February 18, 2011.

**Please plan to have lunch together for a time of fellowship. We are a peanut-free community, so please keep this in mind when packing lunches.
