What did you think of the Practicum? I hope it was a great enrichment to you. I have been to six Practicums and I was blown away at how wonderfully our first one turned out. Please take the time to write the speakers, (Tori Jo and Melanie Sloger) organizers, (Melanie Sloger, Holly Freed and Jen Bowes) camp teachers, (Jacque Strobbe, Heather Reid and Penny) and trainers, (Jacque Nelson and Rachelle Swanson) and let them know how you were blessed!! I hope you have had a chance to reflect on what was said as you return to your normal schedule. I left with a list of things to do, things to read, things to consider and a grateful heart for how blessed we are to have each other to homeschool with. You are a talented bunch!
We will have another park day Monday, July 11 at 10AM at a park on the North side of Lake Zorinsky. I will send details on the exact location, but it has play equipment with covered tables and restrooms very close by. I hope several of you can come out and meet the new families that have joined. We are still receiving registrations now that we have opened up an eighth class, and have had three new families join in just the last two weeks even. We are approaching our maximum capacity of 64 students! (8 classes of 8)
OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS***
There is one change to the calendar if you had the original calendar. Please mark our final snow day and final evening program as April 5th and NOT April 6th. April 6 is Good Friday and the church has a program going on all day. We will conduct our final snow day, final Memory Master Testing and our Evening Final Program on Thursday, April 5th.
Please let me know of any severe allergies that would require your child to have an allergy free zone at lunch time. I will post that on the blog. Last year we had a peanut free zone, but as far as I know, that is not the case yet for this coming year.
Please let me know if anyone wants any information left out of the directory for some reason. I am working on our Parent Guide/Directory, so let me know if that is the case.
Final statements will be emailed out this week as a reminder of the July 20 date when all balances are due. (Unless I have already given yours to you.)
